Le flux vidéo est acheminé vers le système embarqué à travers une liaison haut débit. Le système embarqué est une unité de traitement équipée d'un accélérateur matériel. Le système embarqué assure le traitement des flux vidéos au moyen des mécanismes de l'intelligence artificielle afin d'y extraire des informations décisionnelles. Le système de transmission radio permettra de partager ces informations avec le reste des feux tricolores d'un même carrefour, ou de l'ensemble du réseau routier. Grâce à un algorithme distribué d'intelligence collective, les feux tricolores d'un carrefour s'autoréguleront en adoptant le plan relatif à la meilleure stratégie de régulation. Ce traitement s'effectue en temps réel d'une manière dynamique. De cette manière, les feux tricolores d'un carrefour donné coordonneront ensemble d'une manière complètement distribuée et autonome, sans avoir besoin d'une quelconque installation centralisée.The system uses traffic lights equipped with an adjustable vision device, on-board artificial intelligence and a radio transmission module.
