Abstract

Selon l'invention, un appareil permettant de planter un jeune plant (3) dans une zone aride comprend une coiffe verticale se rétrécissant vers le bas (20) et une motte de jeune plant (1) comprenant un corps de substance de culture recouvert d'une capsule résistant à l'humidité (14) qui est de préférence reçue de façon étanche dans une région inférieure (22) de la coiffe. La région inférieure de la coiffe entourant la région supérieure du jeune plant est enterrée sous le niveau du sol (51) avec au moins un réservoir d'eau (40, 200) et est alimentée en eau par l'intermédiaire de mèches capillaires (43), le réservoir étant enterré sous le niveau du sol et recouvert d'un couvercle résistant à l'humidité (60) qui entoure la coiffe de façon étanche. La coiffe s'étend au-dessus du niveau du sol pour protéger et maintenir à l'ombre le jeune plant et sert, avec la capsule (14) et le couvercle (60), à retenir l'humidité dans la région de plantation pendant la première année de croissance.
