Abstract

L'invention porte sur un procédé (1000) de codage d'une séquence vidéo comprenant des ensembles d'images de référence (rps). Le procédé consiste à agencer (1001) les rps par ordre de transmission dans une structure de données, telle qu'un ensemble de paramètres de séquence (sps), à déterminer (1003) si une transmission de rps explicite est utilisée pour un rps d'une image courante de la séquence vidéo, et à coder (1004) des informations indiquant un rps compris dans la structure de données à utiliser pour prédire le rps de l'image courante, tel que delta_idx_minus1, seulement si une transmission de rps explicite est utilisée. Par transmission de delta_idx_minus1 seulement si une transmission de rps explicite est utilisée, et interprétation de delta_idx_minus1 comme étant égal à zéro autrement, un débit binaire réduit est obtenu.
