Abstract

A support assembly for a cylindrical solar energy collector has a plurality of transverse ribs attached to longitudinal rails and end assemblies attached to the rails. End assemblies may attach to longitudinal rails through the transverse ribs, and anchor cables may traverse from one end section to the other. Transverse ribs may be formed of two sections of ribs with a semi-parabolic shape. Solar energy collector panels may be placed on the ribs and secured with covers and transverse panel fastening strips, for example.
