Abstract

Method and system for solving the conflict problem in a shared communication channel Our present invention is in the field of conflict resolution in an environment where multiple communication devices (DCs) share the same communication channel. It is a method using a decentralized comparison technique that allows to retain a single device communicating among several participants in the fight to obtain the channel. The main advantage of our method is that it allows to always clear a single winner and without risk of failure in obtaining the channel. This property is always verified regardless of the number of combatants but provided that each DC fighter has a code that we call General Contention Code (CGC) different from all other DC participating in combat. The duration of this fight is constant and does not depend on the number of fighters to obtain the channel, it is equal to the duration of transmission of the elements constituting the CGC on the communication channel. In addition, our method allows the implementation of multiple custom channel access policies for each DC which provides more flexibility and flexibility for efficient network management and is applicable to any type of communication channel.
