Abstract

The invention relates to the fire fighting, more specifically to devices for fire extinguishing gas generated by gas generating grains and especially for controlling of grain ignition and burning processes. The proposed device comprising a cylindrical housing (1) having at least one discharge opening (13), an ignitor (5), a plurality of gas generating grains (2) arranged in a stacked position within the housing (1), wherein each gas generating grain (2) is generally cylindrical, having cylindrical surface (23) and two end surfaces (22) opposed each to other. The device further comprises at least one foil (9), wherein the foil (9) is located between one end surface (22) and another end surface (22) of two adjacent gas generating grains (2), and wherein the foil (9) covers the end surfaces (22) of the gas generating grains (2).
