Abstract

The present invention relates to the environmental protection and can be used for thermal incineration of waste, including oil sludge and medical waste. Its aim is to increase the efficiency of oil sludge incineration by the completeness of incineration and reduce hazardous emissions into the atmosphere. The method offered includes the creation of a fluidised bed by air and flue gas supply for afterburning, and during the process of air supply a water-fuel emulsion is fed simultaneously or periodically in order to create a fluidised bed in oil sludge. Besides, the rate of flue gases going for afterburning is regulated.The facility for thermal incineration of sludge includes a combustion chamber that is connected with an afterburner, a heat energized device and a clean-up system of flue gas. In the proposed facility a hearth of the combustion chamber is made of pipes with nozzles for air supply, between them there are smaller diameter pipes with nozzles for water-fuel emulsion supply. In the combustion chamber a reflecting screen is set before a flue gas vent, and the reflecting screen is mounted so that the bottom screen is mounted on the bottom of the camera and its top part is leveled with the top part of the flue gas vent.
