Abstract

Invention applies to the industrial obtainment of furfural and acetic acid from raw materials containing pentosanes, for instance, deciduous wood-pulp. Raw material is reduced to pieces of the size of technologic chips, dampened with salt or salt mixture, which by dissociation forms cations with a charge of at least two. Then the solution is treated under overheated water steam flow at the increased pressure. Steam that comes from the reactor and contains furfural, is condensed, thus acquiring secondary steam, which is used for extracting and purification of furfural and acetic acid with the rectification method, as well as for other purposes. The raw material being left over after treatment with water steam is unloaded from the reactor with the decompression method, in case of necessity - dehydrated by pressing and/or drying and used as fuel for obtaining technological steam and/or other purposes.
