Abstract
A device for supporting a tuyere of a shaft furnace, particularly of a blast furnace tuyere, comprises a steel fixing flange (28) as well as a front portion (16) and a rear portion (22) which are both made of copper or a copper alloy. The steel-fixing flange (28) is fixed to the armour (30, 130) of the shaft furnace. The front portion (16) is a cooled, double-walled portion forming a channel (18) wit a conical seating (20) to support the tuyere (32). The rear portion (22) is solid and formed integrally with the front portion (16). It has a connecting flange (26) which may be bolted to the fixing flange (28) fixed to the armour (30) of the shaft furnace.<IMAGE>
