Abstract

Liquid pistons are, to date, used for compressed gas energy storage, not for energy production. According to the invention, the liquid pistons of tanks descending and rising in a marine environment from upper and lower levels where the submerged weight of the tanks is reduced to zero, see their penetration or withdrawal, due to the hydraulic pressure, increase at accelerated speed: the greater the absolute value of the submerged weight the faster the tanks either descend or rise. This phenomenon generates electrical energy obtained by braking the acceleration of the movement of the reservoirs which are thus qualified as electrogeners. These tanks have their upper part filled with lighter air and they are naturally held in a vertical position to form chain links. Marine electricity production plants are made up of these chains making up vertical cages which can, in a horizontal position, be built and moved to their production site. The production of electricity by these marine power plants should make it possible to increase the share of renewable, ecological and permanent energies in global energy production.
