Abstract

본 발명의 칼라 디스플레이 시스템은 전기광학적 변조 스크린(LCD)을 포함하며, 시스템 내의 색채 변조기(RC)는 다중 파장 광원(S,C) 및 스크린(LCD)의 사이에 구비된다. 이 색채 변조기는, 측색 균형을 이루기 위해서 뿐만 아니라 스크린에 전송되는 여러 가지 파라미터들의 포화도를 조정하기 위해서, 상기 광원의 파장들 중에서 제한된 레인지 혹은 어떤 파장을 변조하는 것이다.
액정 칼라 디스플레이에 적용가능하다.

Claims (9)

  1. 전기광학적 칼라 디스플레이 스크린용 조명 시스템으로서, 다색성 광원; 상기 광원으로부터 오는 다색성 광의 빔을 수용하며, 상이한 방향에서 상이한 파장 레인지를 갖는 몇몇 조명 광의 빔들을 전송하는, 색채 분리 시스템; 전기광학적 디스플레이 스크린을 포함하며; 각각의 영상 소자인 도트는, 존재하는 조명 광의 빔들의 개수 만큼의 디스플레이 소자들을 갖는 전기광학적 칼라 디스플레이 스크린용 조명 시스템에 있어서, 상기 광원 및 상기 디스플레이 스크린의 사이에 위치한 최소한 하나의 색채 변조 장치를 포함하며, 이 장치는 특정파장 쪽으로 향하게 되며, 상기 디스플레이 스크린에 대해 상기 파장에서 수용하는 광 에너지의 특정 부분을 전송하는 것을 특징으로 하는, 전기광학적 칼라 디스플레이 스크린용 조명 시스템.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 색채 분리 시스템은, 공간적 색채(spatio-chromatic)분리 시스템인 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 색채 분리 시스템은, 칼라 필터를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
  4. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 공간적 색채 분리 시스템은, 여러 가지 파라미터들(R,G,B)을 포함하는 빔을 수용하기 위해, 그리고 상기 여러 가지 파라미터들을 상이한 방향으로 재전송하기 위해, 레코드(record)되는 홀로그래픽 디바이스인 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 색채 변조 장치는, 상기 광원 및 상기 색채 분리 시스템의 사이에 위치하는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 색채 변조 장치는, 홀로그래픽 장치인 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, 상기 색채 변조 장치는, 변조되어야 할 상기 광의 빔의 전파 방향에 수직인 축 주위를 이동할 수 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
  8. 제6항에 있어서, 상기 색채 변조 장치는, 좁은 파장 레인지(range)에 걸쳐 동작가능하며, 상기 파장 레인지에서 수용하는 광의 특정 비율을 제거하는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
  9. 제8항에 있어서, 상기 제거되는 파장 레인지는, 황색에 중심이 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 시스템.
