본 발명은 텔레비젼이나 비디오 카세트 레코더 등의 영상기기에서의 자동 채널 전환 방법에 관한 것으로서, 이를 위하여, 영상기기에서 전원온시에 자주 사용하는 채널로 자동으로 동조시키기 위한 방법으로서, 전원 온을 위한 키입력이 인가되면 전원을 온시키고 전원오프시 고정된 채널로, 영상 기기의 전원 온 상태에서 채널 변경을 위한 키입력이 인가되면 키입력에 대응하는 채널로 동조시키는 제 1 단계와; 소정 시간을 카운트 시작하는 제 2 단계와; 상기 소정 시간이 경과되기 전에 채널 변경을 위한 키입력이 인가되면 키입력에 대응하는 채널로 동조시키고 상기 제 2 단계로 귀환 진행하는 제 3 단계와; 상기 소정시간이 경과되어도 채널 변경을 위한 키입력이 인가되지 않으면 현재 동조된 채널의 사용 횟수를 증가하여 저장하는 제 4 단계와; 전원 오프를 위한 키입력이 인가되면 모든 채널의 사용 횟수를 비교하여 사용빈도가 최대인 채널로 동조시키고 전원을 오프시키는 제5단계를 포함한다.The present invention relates to an automatic channel switching method in a video apparatus such as a television or a video cassette recorder.
