본 발명은 에지 방향을 이용하여 영상의 연속성을 정확하게 구현할 수 있는 영상복호기에서의 에지를 이용한 에러보상장치에 관한 것으로, 이를 해결하기 위하여 복원된 화면블럭의 에지를 검출하기 위하여 마스크를 생성하여 제공하는 마스크 생성부(120), 상기 디코딩되어 입력되는 현재 화면블럭과 마스크 생성부(120)로부터 제공되는 각각의 마스크에 의거하여 현재 화면블럭의 에지의 방향정보를 검출하는 에지방향 검출부(140), 상기 디코딩된 현재 화면블럭과 에지방향 검출부(140)의 에지의 방향정보에 의해서 현재 화면블럭에 대한 에러발생신호를 출력하는 블럭단위 에러검출부(160), 블럭단위 에러검출부(160)의 에러발생신호에 의거하여 현재 화면블럭을 이전 영상신호의 동일 위치 블럭으로 대치시켜 출력하는 에러보정부(180), 상기 보정된 보정블럭을 디스플레이 하는 디스플레이 장치(200)를 포함함으로써 디지탈 영상 처리 과정에서 에러에 의한 손상된 부분을 복원시킬 수 있는 효과가 있다.The present invention relates to an error compensator using edges in an image decoder that can accurately implement continuity of an image using an edge direction.
