Abstract

본 발명은 위성방송이나 케이블방송과 같은 멀티 채널시스템에서 각 채널의 방송내용을 통합하여 가이드해줄 수 있는 서비스 프로그램 가이드 시스템에 관한 것으로, 본 발명은 종래PIP를 이용한 서비스프로그램 검색시 동일기능을 행하는 블럭이 2개씩 필요하므로 시스템이 복잡해지고 코스트가 상승하며, 각각의 서비스 프로그램을 각각의 채널로 방송하므로 만약 시청자가 채널검색을 통해 시청하고자 하는 방송을 검색하기 위해선 반드시 모든 서비스 프로그램을 검색하여야 하는 번거로움이 있었던 점을 감안하여 각 방송국에서 보내는 서비스 프로그램을 받아 이를 한 화면내에서 각각의 서브화면으로 재구성한 후 이를 다시 코딩하여 서비스 프로그램 가이드(SPG)채널로 전송함으로써 시청자가 SPG채널에 의해 각 채널의 서비스 프로그램 정보를 쉽게 알 수 있도록 한 것이다.The present invention relates to a service program guide system capable of integrating and guiding broadcast contents of each channel in a multi-channel system such as satellite broadcasting or cable broadcasting.
