Abstract

본 발명은 평판표시소자를 측면봉합하는 개선된 방법을 개시한다.
봉합재를 기판의 측면에 도포하면 봉합재가 흘러내려 봉합이 불완전해지는 문제가 있는 바, 본 발명에서는 기판의 측부에 봉합재를 성형하는 형틀을 결합하여 소성함으로써 이러한 문제를 해결하였다.

Claims (6)

  1. 평판표시소자의 두 기판의 측면에 봉합재를 도포하여 소성함으로써 봉합하는 방법에 있어서, 상기 봉합재가 도포된 기판의 측부에 상기 봉합재를 성형하는 성형홈이 형성된 형틀을 결합하여 소성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 평판표시소자의 측면 봉합방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 형틀이 활석으로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 평판표시소자의 측면 봉합방법.
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항중의 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 형틀이 보강림으로 감싸이는 것을 특징으로 하는 평판표시소자의 측면 봉합방법.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, 상기 보강림으로 감싸인 형틀이 상기 기판을 둘러싸는 봉합지그를 구성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 평판표시소자의 측면 봉합방법.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 봉합지그가 U형 지그와 I형 지그의 결합으로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 평판표시소자의 측면 봉합방법.
  6. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 봉합지그가 두 L형 지그의 결합으로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 평판표시소자의 측면 봉합방법.
