Abstract

벽전하의 생성 및 방전유지를 위한 서스테인(SUSTAIN)용 전극, 각 수평라인의 스캔(SCAN) 및 방전을 유지하기 위한 스캔 및 서스테인용 전극, 해당 수평라인을 어드레싱(ADDRESSING)하기 위한 어드레싱용 전극으로 구성되는 M ×N개의 단위셀을 갖는 PDP 디스플렝 장치에 있어서, 외부로부터의 조작신호에 상응하는 조절신호를 발생하는 조절스위치(110); 상기 조절스위치(110)로부터의 조절신호에 의거하여 기설정된 소정 범위내에서 외부로부터 제공되는 벽전하 전압레벨을 조절하기 위한 전압조절수단(120); 상기 서스테인용 전극으로 제공되는 전압펄스 파형의 각 구간에 상응하여 전압을 선택적으로 스위칭하기 위한 스위칭 신호를 발생하는 펄스발생수단(130); 상기 펄스발생수단(130)으로부터의 스위칭신호에 의거하여 상기 전압조절수단(120)에서 조절된 상기 벽전하 전압과 외부로부터 제공되는 어드레싱을 위한 전압, 서스테인을 위한 전압 및 GND를 선택적으로 절환하여 고전압 발생수단(150)으로 제공하기 위한 스위칭수단(140); 상기 스위칭수단(140)을 통해 제공되는 전압에 상응하는 고전압을 발생하여 상기 서스테인용 전극으로 제공하는 상기 고전압 발생수단(150)으로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 피디피(PDP) 디스플레이 장치의 밝기 조절장치.Sustain electrode for generating wall charge and maintaining discharge, scan and sustain electrode for maintaining scan and discharge of each horizontal line, and addressing electrode for addressing the horizontal line.
