종래의 폐기액속에 함유된 미세협잡물의 처리기술은 폐기액속에 함유된 비중이 가벼운 협잡물(5mm이상크기)을 스크린 등의 여과기로 여과분리하고 비중이 큰 모래와 같은 고형물은 비중분리법 등의 기술을 활용하여 처리한 후 그 탈리액을 본 처리공정으로 넘겨 처리 정화하고 있으나 이와같은 탈리액에는 통상 미세협잡물 이라고 칭하는 1-5mm크기의 작은 고형물이 잔유하고 있어 보다 효율적인 본처리를 할수 없는 실정인 것이다. 즉 완벽한 본처리를 위해서는 전처리과정에서 이 미세협잡물까지도 제거해야 완벽한 본처리를 할수 있으나 종래에는 이와같은 유기성 미세협잡물이 전처리공정에서 처리되지 않고 그대로 방류되어지므로 이는 수질오염의 직접적인 원인을 조성시키고 있었던 것이다.Conventional techniques for the treatment of fine contaminants contained in waste liquids include the separation of light contaminants (sizes greater than 5 mm) contained in the waste liquid with a filter such as a screen, and solid matters such as sand having a high specific gravity.
