본 발명은 칼라 브라운관(Color Picture Tube)의 콘버젼스(Convergence) 측정방법 및 장치에 관한 것으로서, 해당 칼라 브라운관에 소정의 패턴을 인가하는 패턴 발생부; 상기 칼라 브라운관의 화면으로부터 출사되는 광신호를 전기적 신호로 변환시키는 광센서부; 상기 전기적 신호를 소정의 증폭도로써 증폭하는 증폭부; 상기 증폭된 신호를 디지탈 신호로 변환시키는 아날로그/디지탈 변환부; 상기 디지탈 신호를 주파수 분석(Spectrum analysis)하여 각 색상 패턴 사이의 위상차를 구한 후, 각 위상차를 환산하여 미스콘버젼스를 구하는 디지탈 신호 처리부; 및 상기 미스콘버젼스를 디스플레이하는 표시부;를 갖춘 것을 그 특징으로 하여, 칼라 브라운관 화면 상의 많은 지점을 측정할 수 있고, 데이터 처리 시간을 줄일 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 제조 비용을 절감할 수 있다.The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for measuring convergence of a color picture tube, comprising: a pattern generator for applying a predetermined pattern to the color picture tube; An optical sensor unit for converting an optical signal emitted from the screen of the color CRT into an electrical signal; An amplifier for amplifying the electrical signal with a predetermined amplification degree; An analog / digital converter converting the amplified signal into a digital signal; A digital signal processor configured to obtain a phase difference between each color pattern by performing frequency analysis on the digital signal, and to calculate misconvergence by converting each phase difference; And a display unit for displaying the misconvergence; characterized in that, it is possible to measure a large number of points on the color CRT screen, not only reduce the data processing time, but also reduce the manufacturing cost.
