Abstract

배기가스의 폐열을 범퍼의 완충 기능에 부가적으로 이용하여 완충 기능을 크게 향상시킬 목적으로; 범퍼와, 상기 범퍼의 양측 부분에 후측으로 돌출되도록 고정되는 범퍼 스테이를 포함하는 범퍼 어셈블리와; 상기 범퍼 스테이의 후단으로 형성되는 피스톤을 수용할 수 있도록 사이드 멤버의 내부에 배치되는 증기 실린더와; 상기 증기 실린더의 후측과 연통되어 배기관의 열에 의하여 물을 가열하여 생성된 증기를 상기 증기 실린더로 공급하는 증기 팽창 쳄버와; 상기 증기 실린더와 증기 팽창 쳄버에 형성되는 압력 센서와 유량센서로부터 입력되는 신호에 따라 증기 실린더로 공급되는 증기와, 증기 팽창쳄버로 공급되는 증기와 물을 제어하는 컨트롤 유닛을 포함하여 이루어지는 자동차의 범퍼를 제공한다.

Claims (4)

  1. 범퍼와, 상기 범퍼의 양측 부분에 후측으로 돌출되도록 고정되는 범퍼 스테이를 포함하는 범퍼 어셈블리와; 상기 범퍼 스테이의 후단으로 형성되는 피스톤을 수용할 수 있도록 사이드 멤버의 내부에 배치되는 증기 실린더와; 상기 증기 실린더의 후측과 연통되어 배기관의 열에 의하여 물을 가열하여 생성된 증기를 상기 증기 실린더로 공급하는 증기 팽창 쳄버와; 상기 증기 실린더와 증기 팽창 쳄버에 형성되는 압력 센서와 유량센서로부터 입력되는 신호에 따라 증기 실린더로 공급되는 증기와, 증기 팽창쳄버로 공급되는 증기와 물을 제어하는 컨트롤 유닛을 포함하여 이루어지는 자동차의 범퍼.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 증기 실린더에는 급격한 내압 증가시 파열되는 플러그를 형성하여 이루어짐을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 범퍼.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 증기 팽창 쳄버는 내압 조절을 위한 압력 조절 밸브를 배치하여 이루어짐을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 범퍼.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 공기 팽창 쳄버로 열을 공급하는 배기관에는 열교환 수단으로 냉각핀을 형성함을 특징으로 하는 자동차의 범퍼.
