Abstract

본 발명은 텔레비전의 화면명도 제어장치에 관한 것으로, 플라이백 트랜스(20)의 1차측에 흐르는 전류를 자동휘도제한(ABL)전류로서 검출하여 화면의 휘도를 제어하는 텔레비전에서 상기 ABL전류의 레벨을 검출하는 ABL 전류검출부(22)와, 그 타이머(24)로부터 계시결과에 의해 소정 시간의 경과시 영상신호처리부(14)에서 처리되는 영상신호의 레벨이 감소되도록 제어하는 제어부(12), 그 제어부(12)의 제어하에 제어되는 화면명도의 감소시 그 화면명도의 감소를 화면표시하기 위한 화면표시데이터를 생성하여 CRT장치(18)상에 표시되도록 하기 위한 OSD처리부(26)가 갖추어져 구성되어, 일정한 시간동안 ABL전류치가 높게 검출되는 경우에는 자동으로 화면의 명도를 저감시키는 제어를 수행하도록 된 것이다.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1.
