Abstract

본 발명은 구면으로 광디스크를 형성하여 피트를 기록할 수 있는 전체적인 표면적을 넓힘으로써, 현재와 같은 반경을 갖는 디스크에 보다 많은 정보를 저장할 수 있도록 하고 따라서 그러한 광디스크를 재생할 때 구면의 광디스크 표면에 자유롭게 움직일 수 있는 광픽업장치가 서보 제어에 의해 설정될 수 있게 하여 구면의 광디스크 전표면의 정보를 읽을 수 있는 구면의 광디스크 및 그 픽업장치에 관한 것인 바, 그 특징은 디스크의 반사막이 구면의 내부로 위치하고 피트가 형성되는 정보기록면이 구면의 바깥쪽을 향하도록 하여 외부에서 투사되는 빛이 정보기록면에 형성되는 피트의 돌기부분과 반사막에 의해 구면의 표면방향으로 반사되게 하는 구모양으로 형성함에 있으며, 구면의 광디스크를 지지하면서 중심축을 따라 회전시키기 위한 디스크 지지수단과, 광디스크의 표면과 같은 곡률로 광픽업장치의 움직임을 안내하는 픽업안내수단과, 상기 픽업안내수단을 따라 움직이면서 회전축을 중심으로 회전하는 구면의 광디스크 전체 표면에 빛을 투사할 수 있는 광픽업장치와, 상기 디스크 지지수단의 회전동작 및 광픽업장치의 움직임을 제어하는 서보 제어수단으로 구성함에 있다.The present invention forms an optical disk with a spherical surface, thereby broadening the overall surface area for recording pits, thereby allowing more information to be stored on a disk having the same radius, and thus freely moving on the surface of the spherical optical disk when such an optical disk is reproduced.
