Abstract

A remote controller with rotary function control mechanism is provided to reduce the number of components of function selecting buttons. This controller includes a first rotary body (53) with at least two function selecting buttons (54, 55) to establish remote control data of an apparatus to be controlled; a second rotary body (56) installed on the peripheral part of the first rotary body (52)'s lower portion for function shift; at least two switching members (57a, 57b) installed on the second rotary body (56) and generating a function selecting signal in response to function selecting buttons (54, 55)'s manipulation; a rotary shaft (58) coupled to a rotary disk (59) having contacts (59a, 59b, 59c); and a rotary disk (66) installed under the second rotary body (56) and having a plurality of contacts contacting a second conductive pattern(68) for obtaining a function shift signal.
