Abstract
The basic castable refractory composition according to the present invention is used as refractory for all kinds of steel manufacturing equipments such as turndish built-in, turndish dam and ladle built-in and is characterized in showing excellent effect producing a clean steel. The composition comprises 50-75 wt.% a dolomite clinker having a slaking-resistance where the rate of weight increase is less than 2.0 wt.% by autoclave examination method(3Kg/cm2, maintaining 2hours) and CaO content is 40-65 wt.%, 13-43 wt.% a magnesia clinker, 3-10 wt.% a chrome oxide powder having a particle diameter of less than 10 Pm, 2-6 wt.% a superfine powder having a particle diameter of less than 1 Pm, and a cement binding material of calciumsilicate type containing 3CaO,SiO2(Alite) of more than 65 wt.%. 20-40 % of the distribution ratio of the total particle size has a particle diameter of less than 0.075 mm.
