Abstract

In a looped-bus type network, in case of a node error, an optical switching apparatus passes a service data in order to not receive an influence of an error node, and normally maintains a service data path. The light switching apparatus includes: a previous node input signal optical distributing unit(10) for dividing a data optical power with a ratio N:M; a present node input signal optical distributing unit(20) for dividing a data optical power from a present node/terminal; a node error monitoring/switching controller(30) for monitoring a distributed optical signal of 10% from the unit(10), and generating an optical switch control signal; a previous node optical signal controller(40) for controlling a distributed optical signal of N% from the unit(10); a present node controller(50) for controlling a distributed optical signal of 90% from the unit(20); and a optical signal connector(60) for interconnecting the optical signals from the controllers(40,50).
