Abstract

1. 청구범위에 기재된 발명이 속한 기술분야
다수의 자기 드스크를 스택형태로서 사용하는 하드디스크 구동장치에서 자기 디스크상의 트랙들의 번지를 할당하는 방법에 관한 것이다.
2. 발명이 해결하고자 하는 기술적 과제
자기 디스크에 대한 액세스시간을 단축시키며 헤드 스위칭으로 인한 오프-트랙 빈도수를 감소시킬 수 있는 트랙번지 할당방법을 제공한다.
3. 발명의 해결방법의 요지
어느 하나의 자기 디스크면의 트랙들에 대하여 처음의 실린더의 트랙부터 마지막 실린더의 트랙까지 순차적으로 번지를 증가시켜 가면서 할당하고, 다음의 자기 디스크면의 트랙들에 대하여 처음의 실린더의 트랙부터 마지막 실린더의 트랙까지 순차적으로 이전의 트랙번지 이후부터 번지를 증가시켜 가면서 할당하며, 상기한 과정을 마지막 자기 디스크면의 트랙들까지 반복한다.

하드 디스크 구동장치에서 트랙 번지를 할당하는데 이용한다.

Claims (2)

  1. 다수의 자기 디스크를 스택형태로 사용하는 하드 디스크 구동장치에서 트랙번지 할당방법에 있어서, 어느 하나의 자기 디스크면의 트랙들에 대하여 처음의 실린더의 트랙부터 마지막 실린더의 트랙까지 순차적으로 번지를 증가시켜 가면서 할당하는 과정과, 다음의 자기 디스크면의 트랙들에 대하여 처음의 실린더의 트랙부터 마지막 실린더의 트랙까지 순차적으로 이전의 트랙번지 이후부터 번지를 증가시켜 가면서 할달하며, 상기한 과정을 마지막 자기 디스크면의 트랙들까지 반복하는 과정으로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 트랙번지 할당 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 과정을 첫번째 자기 헤드에 대응하는 자기 디스크면부터 시작하여 순차적으로 마지막 자기 헤드에 대응하는 자기 디스크면까지 수행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 트랙번지 할당방법.
