Abstract

Disclosed is an uninterruptable power supply for a computer. The power supply comprises the first converter, supplier, first switch, second switch and second converter. The first converter is connected to the battery to convert the external power source in normal mode, and connects direct current power to alternative current power. The supplier is connected to the first converter in power cut mode. The first switch turns off in the power cut mode to connect the supplier to the first converter. The second switch turns on to supply the battery power to a communication controller when the first switch turns off. The second converter is connected to the second switch to supply the other direct current voltage to the communication controller. Thereby, the computer normally operates in a predetermined time nevertheless the external power is cut.
