Abstract

리모트 콘트롤러(12)와 상기 리모트 콘트롤러를 통해 중계된 명령에 응답하여 동작할 수 있은 장치(10)를 구비하는 리모트 제어 시스템에서 보안 데이타 전송 방법에 있어서, 상기 장치는 상기 리모트 콘트롤러(12)부터 전송을 수신하기 위한 수신기를 가지며, 상기 전송에서의 정보는 저장 장치(42)에 저장된다. 상기 리모트 콘트롤러는 송신기(26)와, 보안 데이타와 명령을 저장하기 위한 메모리(22)와, 키 패드(key pad)(24)을 구비한다. 상기 송신기(26)은 상기 사용자 장치(10)에 보안 데이타를 전송하기를 바라는 사용자의 요구에 응답하기 위해서 제외된다. 이 데이타는 다른 명령을 전송하는데 정상적으로 소모되는 전력보다 낮은 전력 레벨에서 전송된다. 상기 리모트 콘트롤러(12) 및 사용자 장치(10) 사이의 결합은 무선 또는 적외선을 이용한다.

Claims (10)

  1. 리모트 콘트롤러와 이 콘트롤러에 의해 제어되는 장치 사이의 보안 데이타를 전송하기 위한 방법에 있어서, 상기 리모트 콘트롤러와 장치를 서로 가까이 위치시키는 단계 및 상기 리모트 콘트롤러에 의해 명령을 전송하기 위하여 정상적으로 사용되는 것 보다 낮은 레벨의 전력에서 상기 보안 데이타를 전송하는 단계를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 보안 데이타 전송 방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 보안 데이타는 명령의 일부로서 전송되는 부호의 변화에 대한 알고리즘을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 보안 데이타 전송 방법.
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 상기 보안 데이타가 무선 방식으로 전송되는 것을 특징으로 하는 보안 데이타 전송 방법.
  4. 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 보안 데이타가 상기 리모트 콘트롤러에 의해 보유되며, 개인 확인 번호(personal identification number)(PIN)이 상기 리모트 콘트롤러에 할당되고, 상기 PIN이 보안 데이타를 전송하기 위한 데이타의 처리를 허가하는데 사용되는 것을 특징으로 하는 보안 데이타 전송 방법.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 장치는 상기 보안 데이타 전송에 사용되는 링크의 동일 형태로 상기 리모트 콘트롤러와 통신하는 것을 특징으로 하는 보안 데이타 전송 방법.
  6. 제5항에 있어서, 상기 리모트 콘트롤러는 한 장치로부터 데이타를 수신할 수 있으며 적어도 다른 한 장치에 상기 데이타를 전송할 수 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 보안 데이타 전송 방법.
  7. 리모트 콘트롤러와 상기 리모트 콘트롤러를 통해 중계된 명령에 응답하여 작동할 수 있는 장치를 구비하는 리모트 제어 시스템으로서, 상기 장치는 상기 리모트 콘트롤러부터의 전송을 수신하기 위한 수단 및 데이타를 저장하기 위한 저장 수단을 구비하며, 상기 리모트 콘트롤러는 전송수단과, 보안 데이타 및 명령을 저장하기 위한 수단과 키패드(keypad)를 구비하며 상기 전송 수단은 보안 데이타의 전송을 명령하기 위한 키(key) 또는 키의 결합의 작동에 응답하며, 다른 명령을 전송하기 위해 사용되는 정상적인 전력보다 낮은 전력 레벨에서 상기 보안 데이타를 전송하는 전송 수단을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 리모트 제어 시스템.
  8. 제7항에 있어서, 상기 전송 수단과 수신 수단은 무선 전송 및 수신 수단인 것을 특징으로 하는 리모트 제어 시스템.
  9. 제7항 또는 제8항에 있어서, 상기 리모트 콘트롤러는 PIN 번호 저장 수단을 구비하며 상기 장치는 상기 보안 데이타를 전송하기 위한 부분적 처리에 대해 상기 PIN번호가 수신될 때, 상기 PIN번호를 저장하기 위한 수단을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 리모트 제어 시스템.
  10. 제7항 내지 제9항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 장치는 전송 수단을 구비하며, 상기 리모트 콘트롤러는 수신 수단을 구비함으로써, 그것에 의해 데이타가 상기 장치를 통하여 상기 리모트 콘트롤러상에 통신될 수 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 리모트 제어 시스템.
