본 발명은 액정기판의 제조방법에 관한 것으로서, 액정을 배향시키는 배향막을 감광성 배향제를 함유하는 폴리이미드나 폴리아미드 계열의 막으로 형성하고, 이를 투명전극 패턴닝의 식각 마스크로 사용하고, 후에 배향막의 경화 및 러빙 공정을 실시하여 배향막으로 형성하였으므로, 액정기판의 제조 공정이 간단해지고, 배향막이 액정기판의 디스플레이 영역에만 형성되므로 제조 단가가 절감되며, 소자의 비 디스플레이 영역에서 액정이 동작하는 오동작의 염려가 없고, 감광막을 사용하지 않으므로 용액관리 비용이 절감된다.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1.
