Abstract

본 발명은 강유전성 LCD의 제조방법에 관한 것으로서, 두장의 액정기판 사이에 살포되어 셀갭을 유지하는 스페이서를 신축성을 갖는 재질로 사용하고, 액정주입시 상기 상ㆍ하측 액정기판에 소정의 압력을 가하여 셀갭을 감소시킨 상태에서 상변이 온도 이상으로 가열된 액정을 주입하고 밀봉한 후, 액정의 온도를 감소시킴과 동시에 압력을 서서히 감소시켜 강유전성 LCD를 제조하였으므로, 액정의 상변이에 의한 부피증가를 고려하여 먼저 셀갭을 감소시킨 상태에서 액정을 주입하였으므로 쉐브론결함이 방지되어 소자의 휘도가 향상되며, 지그재그 결함도 방지되어 소자의 동작 특성이 향상된다.The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a ferroelectric LCD, wherein a spacer is spread between two liquid crystal substrates and maintains a cell gap as a flexible material, and a cell gap is applied by applying a predetermined pressure to the upper and lower liquid crystal substrates during liquid crystal injection.
