종래에는 사용자가 피-시 세트업시 해상도 선택을 피-시에 장착된 비디오 카드 해상도 범위안에서 선택함으로서 실제 모니터에 공급되는 수평주파수나 수직주파수를 사용자가 인식못하는 상황에서 피-시를 세트업 하기 때문에 오버주파수 세팅시 모니터 화면의 홀드가 무너져 마치 모니터 불량으로 인식되어 사용자에게 불쾌감을 줄 뿐만 아니라 장시간 방치시 모니터에 충격을 가하게 되므로 모니터의 수명단축은 물론 신뢰성이 저하되는 등 문제점이 있었다.In the past, the user sets up the PC in a situation where the user does not recognize the horizontal frequency or the vertical frequency supplied to the actual monitor by selecting the resolution setting during the PC setup within the video card resolution range mounted on the PC.
