Abstract

본 발명은 비디오컴팩트디스크의 기록영역중 픽처층의 헤더데이터내에 존재하는 각각의 I픽처의 관리영역에 상기 비디오컴팩트디스크의 P∼Q채널중 Q채널에 기록되어 있는 현재 I픽처의 전후에 위치한 I픽처의 절대시간을 엔코딩해 두어 순방향 고속탐색모드와 역방향 고속탐색모드시에 상기 절대시간을 기준으로 액세스를 행함으로써 화면탐색을 좀 더 빠르게 구현할 수 있도록 된 동화상 재생장치에서의 고속탐색구현방법을 제공한다.
이를 위해 본 발명은, 비디오컴팩트디스크와 같은 기록매체에 MPEG방식으로 기록된 동화상데이터를 재생하여 영상으로 디스플레이하기도 하고 순방향 고속탐색모드와 역방향고속탐색모드를 갖추어 역방향 및 순방향으로 고속재생가능한 동화상재생자치에 있어서, 상기 비디오컴팩트디스크의 기록영역중 픽처층의 헤더데이터내에 존재하는 모든 I픽처의 관리영역에 상기 비디오컴팩트디스크의 P∼Q채널중 Q채널에 기록되어 있는 모든 I픽처 각각의 전후에 위치한 I픽처의 절대시간이 엔코딩되어 있는 기록매체를 갖추어, 순방향 고속탐색모드시에는 현재 I픽처의 관리영역에 기록되어 있는 다음 I픽처의 절대시간을 독출하는 단계와; 상기 독출된 I픽처의 절대시간을 기초로 기록매체상에서의 섹터의 물리적위치를 계산하는 단계; 상기 계산결과를 기초로 현재의 위치에서 상기 기록매체에서의 섹터의 물리적 위치로 점프하여 액세스하는 단계로 이루어지고, 역방향 고속탐색모드시에는 현재 I픽처의 관리영역에 기록되어 있는 바로 전 I픽처의 절대시간을 독출하는 단계와; 상기 독출된 I픽처의 절대시간을 기초로 기록매체상에서의 섹터의 물리적 위치를 계산하는 단계; 상기 계산결과를 기초로 현재의 위치에서 상기 기록매체에서의 섹터의 물리적 위치로 점프하여 액세스하는 단계로 이루어진다.

Claims (1)

  1. 비디오컴팩트디스크와 같은 기록매체에 MPEG방식으로 기록된 동화상데이터를 재생하여 영상으로 디스플레이하기도 하고 순방향 고속탐색모드와 역방향 고속탐색모드를 갖추어 역방향 및 순방향으로 고속재생가능한 동화상재생장치에 있어서, 상기 비디오컴팩트디스크의 기록영역중 픽처층의 헤더데이터내에 존재하는 모든 I픽처의 관리영역에 상기 비디오컴팩트디스크의 P∼Q채널중 Q채널에 기록되어 있는 모든 I픽처 각각의 전후에 위치한 I픽처의 절대시간이 엔코딩되어 있는 기록매체를 갖추어, 순방향 고속탐색모드시에는 현재 I픽처의 관리영역에 기록되어 있는 다음 I픽처의 절대시간을 독출하는 단계와; 상기 독출된 I픽처의 절대시간을 기초로 기록매체상에서의 섹터의 물리적위치를 계산하는 단계; 상기 계산결과를 기초로 현재의 위치에서 상기 기록매체에서의 섹터의 물리적 위치로 점프하여 액세스하는 단계로 이루어지고, 역방향 고속탐색모드시에는 현재 I픽처의 관리영역에 기록되어 있는 바로 전 I픽처의 절대시간을 독출하는 단계와; 상기 독출된 I픽처의 절대시간을 기초로 기록매체상에서의 섹터의 물리적 위치를 계산하는 단계; 상기 계산결과를 기초로 현재의 위치에서 상기 기록매체에서의 섹터의 물리적 위치로 점프하여 액세스하는 단계로 이루어진 것을 특징으로 하는 동화상 재생장치에서의 고속탐색 구현방법.
