Abstract

The arc welding method is composed of three phases. The first phase includes inputting electric power to a touch sensor to do arc welding, making welding contactor off after discerning whether the touch sensor is in the state of the operation, and making the standard voltage and the detected voltage of the touch sensor on. The second phase includes moving the touch sensor to a detection position, storing the position in the position register after detecting a position of a welding work, and making the standard voltage and the detection voltage of the touch sensor off and making the connector which performs the welding work on. The third phase includes moving the welding robot to the welding position, performing welding with designation of the position register number corresponding to the starting point and the ending point, and finishing the welding by making the contactor off.
