본 발명은 컴퓨터 초기 동작을 위한 프로세서인 롬 바이오스(ROM BIOS)로 부터의 컴퓨터 장해 부분 발생 신호를 검출하며 검출된 고장부분을 컴퓨터의 외관에 표시 하기 위한 장치로서, 상기 롬 바이오스로 부터 수신된 소정 비트로 구성된 단일 장해 부분 발생 신호를 각기 하이 데이타(D4-D7) 및 로우 데이타(D0-D3)로 분리하여 출력하는 고장 검출 및 고장부분 발생 수단(12)과; 상기 시스템내의 다른 프로세서에 결합되어 현재 컴퓨터 동작 속도를 나타내는 신호를 발생하는 속도 신호 발생수단(10)과; 상기 수단(12) 및 (10)으로 부터의 발생 신호를 수신하여 시스템의 현재 동작 속도 및 시스템내의 장해가 발생된 소정부분을 표시하는 표시수단(16)과; 상기 발생수단(12) 및 (10)에서 각기 출력되는 두 신호중 하나를 외부로 부터의 시스템 장해 발생 신호에 응답하여 상기 표시 수단(16)으로 발생하는 선택 수단(14)으로 이루어진다. 따라서 시스템의 고장 부분을 조기에 발견하고 정상상태로의 복원을 보다 빨리 할 수 있다.The present invention is a device for detecting a computer fault portion generation signal from a ROM BIOS (ROM BIOS), a processor for initial computer operation, and displaying the detected fault portion on the exterior of the computer.
