Abstract
본 발명은 타이컴 시스템의 입출력 처리기 메모리를 효과적으로 분할 사용하는 방법에 관한 것이다. 종래의 입출력 처리기 메모리 분할 방법은 고정적으로 메모리를 7MB와 1MB로 나누어 사용하기 때문에 사용되는 통신망의 보드가 없으면 1MB의 메모리를 낭비하게 되며 사용하는 통신망의 보드가 많으면 1MB의 메모리로는 부족하기 때문에 시스템에 사용하는 통신망의 보드를 1MB가 허용하는 범위까지로 제한해야 하는 문제점이 있었다. 따라서, 본 발명에 의한 입출력 처리기 메모리 분할 방법은 블럭 입출력 장치용 메모리의 영역과 문자 일출력 장치용 메모리의 영역을 초기화하는 제1단계와 시스템에서 사용되는 근거리 통신망 보드가 사용하는 메모리의 크기를 검출하는 제2단계와, 시스템에서 사용되는 원거리 통신망 보드가 사용하는 메모리의 크기를 검출하는 제3단계와, 상기 블럭 입출력 장치용 메모리의 영역과 상기 문자 입출력 장치용 메모리의 영역을 통신망 보드에서 사용하는 메모리의 크기에 따라 새롭게 분리하는 제4단계를 포함하여 통신망 보드의 갯수에 관계없이 가장 효율적으로 메모리를 운용할 수 있는 효과가 있다.The present invention relates to a method of effectively partitioning and using an input / output processor memory of a tycom system.
