본 발명은 차량의 충돌시 순간적으로 전개되어 운전자 또는 승차자를 충격으로부터 보호할 수 있도록 된 차량의 에어백 구속 시스템에 관한 것으로서, 차량의 앞부분에 차간속도 감지장치인 신호 발생장치와 신호인지장치를 장착하여, 신호 발생장치에 발생된 신호가 타 물체에서 발사되어 되돌아오는 시간을 감지하여 타 물체와 차량과의 상대 속도를 계산하고 그 속도에 따라 에어백전개 시간을 미리설정하고 동시에 차량이 타 물체에 부딪힐 때의 속도 및 충돌에너지를 계산하고, 상대속도를 감지해 일정값을 넘으면 경고 또는 브레이크 시스템이 작동되게 하고, 가속도센서에서 인지된 가속도로 계산된 속도 및 충돌에너지에 따라 구속된 에어백의 전개조건이 충족될 때 에어백을 전개시켜주게 되므로 에어백 전개 시간을 최적화할 수 있고, 에어백의 전개와 비전개의 결정을 빨리하여 충돌로부터 인명피해를 최소화할 수 있고, 제품의 품질과 신뢰성을 향상시킬 수 있도록 한 차량용 에어백 구속 시스템에 관한 것이다.The present invention relates to an airbag restraint system of a vehicle that is deployed instantaneously during a collision and protects a driver or a passenger from impact.
