본 발명은 광디스크를 회전 구동시키면서 광픽업으로 스캐닝되는 디스크 트랙수를 카운트하고, 시간에 따라 변화되는 트랙수를 이용해서 선속도를 검출하는 방법으로서, 광디스크(11)를 임의의 기준 선속도로 간주한 상태에서 광디스크(11)내주의 초기 위치로부터 외주의 목표 위치까지 설정된 트랙수 만큼 픽업(14)을 구동시키는 제1단계와, 상기 제1단계에서 도달한 목표 위치에서의 시간 정보를 읽어내고, 읽어낸 시간 정보와 기준 선속도로 간주한 상태에서 정해지는 목표 시간 정보를 비교하여 그 편차(시간 차이 값)를 계산하는 제3단계와, 상기 제3단계에서 계산된 편차를 기준 선속도와 실제 선속도 사이의 관계를 이용해서 구해 놓은 편차와 비교하여 광디스크(11)의 선속도를 판정하는 제3단계를 실행하여 상기한 종래의 문제점을 해소하고, 간소한 구성으로 광디스크의 선속도를 검출하는 방법이다.The present invention is a method of counting the number of disc tracks scanned by an optical pickup while rotating the optical disc, and detecting the linear velocity using the number of tracks that change over time, wherein the optical disc 11 is regarded as an arbitrary reference linear velocity.
