오수 및 폐수를 생물학적인 처리방법으로 처리하고, 상기 공정의 2차침전조에서 발생한 슬러지에 양이온성 키토산을 첨가하고, 상기 키토산이 첨가된 유출수를 침전 농축조에 투입하여 슬러지를 침전시키는 슬러지의 고속침강 농축방법은 슬러지를 신속하게 침강하면서 고농도로 농축시키므로써 슬러지의 농축침강 효율을 높이고, 아울러 농축된 슬러지를 형성하여 후속하는 혐기성 슬러지 소화공정에 투입하므로써 슬러지 처리가 효율적으로 실시된다.Treating sewage and wastewater by biological treatment, adding cationic chitosan to the sludge generated in the secondary sedimentation tank of the process, and feeding the chitosan-added effluent into the sedimentation tank to precipitate the sludge.
