Abstract
본 발명은 유료 텔레비젼 방송 시스템등에서, 스크램블되어 수신되는 영상신호에 실려있는 캡션 데이터의 패리티 비트 데이터를 검색하여 현재 입력되는 영상신호가 스크램블 영상신호인가 또는 일반 영상신호인가를 판단하고, 이 판단 결과에 따라 캡션 디코더에서 이루어지는 패리티 검색동작의 실행 여부를 제어하므로서 영상신호 재현에 신뢰를 확보할 수 있도록 한 스크램블 영상신호의 캡션 디코더 제어 방법에 관한 것이다.According to the present invention, in a pay TV broadcasting system, the parity bit data of the caption data contained in the scrambled and received video signal is searched to determine whether the currently input video signal is a scrambled video signal or a general video signal. 본 발명은 가입자측에서 수신된 영상신호의 캡션 데이터의 패리티 비트(P2)를 검색하여 이 패리티 비트(P2)가 설정된 횟수 이상 연속하여 로직 '1'을 유지하면 현재 수신된 영상신호가 스크램블된 영상신호이고 스크램블 바아(BAR)에 의하여 패리티 비트(P2)가 손상되고 있는 경우로 판별하여 이 경우에는 캡션 데이터의 패리티 검색을 실행하지 않도록 제어하므로서 정상적인 캡션 데이터를 에러로 처리하는 오류를 방지하고, 이에 따른 캡션 디코더의 동작 신뢰성을 확보할 수 있도록 한 스크램블 영상신호의 캡션 디코더 제어 방법이다.According to the present invention, if the parity bit (P2) of the caption data of the video signal received at the subscriber side is searched and the logic parity bit (P2) is maintained more than the set number of times continuously, the current received video signal is scrambled.
