Abstract
본 발명은 엠펙(MPEG) 복호화 시스템의 영상 및 음성 신호 동기 장치이다.The present invention is an apparatus for synchronizing video and audio signals in an MPEG decoding system.
이와 같은 본 발명은 프레임 순서가 바뀌어 전송되는 엠펙(moving picture expert group:MPEG) 시스템에서 영상 및 음성 신호의 비트 스트림(bit stream)을 수신하여 영상 및 음성 신호를 동기화하는 것으로서, 상기 비트스트림을 수신하여 영상 및 음성 프레임을 추출하며, 상기 영상 및 음성이 디스플레이(display) 될 시간 정보 및 프레임 인터벌 값을 추출하는 디멀티 플렉서(demultiplexer; DMUX)(60)와, 상기 DUMX(60)로부터 출된 영상 및 음성 프레임을 소정 시간동안 임시 수용하는 버퍼 수단(70) 및 (80)과, 상기 MPEG 시스템의 기준 시각을 제공하기 위해 상기 DMUX(60)로부터 출된 시스템 클럭 기준(system clock reference)에 의해 초기화되는 시스템 타임 클럭(STC)(90)과 상기 DMUX(60)로부터 추출된 영상의 디스플레이 시간값과 음성의 음성 발생 시간값에 영상 프레임 간격값과 음성프레임 간격값의 최소 공배수를 더한값을 저장하는 영상 및 음성 상연 타임 스탬프 레지숱(video and audio presentation time stamp register : VAPTSR)(100)와, 상기 시스템 타임 클럭(90) 및 레지스터(100)로부터 출력되는 시스템 타임 클럭값(91)과 영상 및 음성 프레임의 디스플레이 시간값(101)을 비쇼하여 일치되는 순간 소정의 펄스를 발생하는 비교수단(110)과, 상기 비교수단(110)의 출력에서 소정의 펄스(pulse)가 발생될 때 초기화되며, 이 초기화된 순간부터 계수(counting)를 계속 행하여 상기 DMUX(60)로부터 제공되는 프레임 간격값만큼에 한번씩 펄스를 발생할 때 스트로브 신호(strobesignal)를 발생하는 영상 타임 인터벌 발생(video time interval generator; VTIG)수단(140)과, 상기 비교수단(110)의 출력에서 소정의 펄스가 발생될 때 초기화되며 이 초기화된 순간부터 계수를 계속 행하여 상기 DMUX(60)로부터 제공되는 프레임 간격값만큼에 한번씩 펄스를 발생할 때 스트로브 신호를 발생하는 음성 타임 인터벌 발생(audio time interval generator; ATIG)수단(150)과, 상기 버퍼 수단(70) 및 (80)을 통과한 영상 및 음성 프레임을 복호한 후 상기 발생기(120) 및 (130)로부터 소정의 프레임 간격값에 의해 제공되는 펄스에 의해 영상 및 음성 프레임을 출력하는 영상 및 음성 복호(video and audio decoder) 수단(160)(170)으로 구성된다.As described above, the present invention receives a bit stream of video and audio signals in a moving picture expert group (MPEG) system in which a frame order is changed, and synchronizes the video and audio signals.
