Claims

Reaction of acetyl acetone (IV) below with sodium nitrite yields 2-hydroxyimacetyl acetone (V), and (2) the hydroxy group of compound (V) is protected by R ¹ to form 2-protected iminoacetyl acetone. (VI), (3) halogenating compound (VI) to obtain 2-protected iminoacetyl acetone, and (4) treating compound (VII) with thiourea or protective amino thiourea -Protected amino-4-thiazole-2-protected iminoacetyl acetone, and (5) the compound (vi) is subjected to haloform reaction (2-protected amino-4-thiazole) 2-protection. A process for the preparation of aminothiazolyliminoacetic acid derivative (I), comprising the step of obtaining aminoacetic acid (I).

Wherein R ¹ represents a low alkali, carboxymethyl or protected carboxymethyl group, R ² represents an amino or protected amino group, and dashed lines indicate that OR ¹ may be in two possible positions, ie syn- or anti-positions. X is a halogen atom.
