방전가공(electro discharge machining, 이하 EDM이라 함)시에 발생하는 전압 또는 전류파(voltage or current wave)의 파형을 분류하는 방법과 그 결과를 이용하여 방전가공을 전극 이송장치인 z축 써보모타를 디지탈 방식에 의하여 작동 시키는 방법에 관한 것으로서, 하강형 방전가공(sink EDM)장치에서 회로열림(ON time)개시기와 종료기에 감시펄스(monitering pulse)를 발생시키고, 방전파형을, 파고치(peak)의 95퍼센트 내지 99퍼센트로 미리 설정된 고전위 및 파고치의 25퍼센트 내지 90퍼센트로 미리 설정된 저전위와, 감시펄스가 고전위일때 비교하여, 회로열림 개시기에는 단락파형과 아아크 파형에 일대일 상응하는 펄스를 만들고, 종료기에는 개방파형과 정상파형에 일대일 상응하는 펄스를 만들어서, 정상파형일 경우에는 z축 써보모타를 그대로 두고 단락파형일 경우에는 동 써보모타를 한단위 가동시켜 방전간격을 넓히고 아아크 파형일 경우에는 1개 내지 20개의 미리 설정된 개수가 연속적으로 발생하면 써보모타를 한단위 가동시켜 방전 간격을 넓히고, 개방파형이 발생할 경우는 1개 내지 50개의 미리 설정된 개수가 연속적으로 발생하면 써보모타를 1단위 가동시켜 방전 간격을 좁게 함으로써, 방전파형의 분류에 일대일 상응하는 감시펄스 신호만으로 방전전극이 연결된 z축 써보모타를 방전가공목적에 부합하게 가동시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 방전가공기용 z축 써보모타의 방전파형 분류에 의한 작동방법.Using the method of classifying the waveform of voltage or current wave generated during electro discharge machining (EDM) and the result, the Z-axis servomotor, The present invention relates to a method of operating by a digital method, which generates a monitoring pulse at the start and end of the ON time in a sink type EDM device, and discharges the discharge waveform to a peak value.
