Abstract
우리는 흔히 수심이 그리 얕지 않은 개울이나 연못, 강, 바다 등의 수중에 빠뜨린 중대한 물건을 찾거나 할때 수심 2-3미터 정도만 되어도 일단 잠수는 해봅니다만은 물속 체류가 호흡관계로 길지 않은 까닭에 몇번 잠수해보고 찾는 것을 그냥포기하는 수가 많습니다. 또한 수중에서 꼭해야될 어떠한 작업(어패류 수확, 수중 공사등)이 있을 때에도 역시 호흡관계로 일의 진행이 대단히 느리고 불가능할때가 많습니다.
뿐만 아니라, 모든 사람들이 여름철에 물놀이를 할때에도 물속에 장시간 잠수해보고 싶은 욕망은 있으나 역시 호흡관계로 꿈을 이루지 못하고 있습니다.
무엇보다도, 이 모든 것을 해결하려면 산소통을 갖춘 잠수장비가 꼭 필요합니다만 대단히 비쌉니다. 이렇게 비싼 잠수 장비 대신 본 수중호흡기를 사용하면 산소통이 필요 없을 뿐만 아니라 수경만 착용하면 공기 수급 호스의 길이에 따라 수심 5미터 이내는 마치 물고기처럼 호흡하며 마음대로 수중에서 행동할수 있으니 그야말로 간편한 잠수기라 할 수 있겠습니다.
