Abstract

본 발명은 전자공학분야의 매개체인 코딩기법에 관한 것으로 정보화시대에 정보전달의 메신저 역활을 하는 바코드의 코딩효율을 높이기 위한 방법에 관한 것이다.
본 발명은 한정된 폭에 기록된 정보의 양을 높이는 바코드 표현법에 관한 것이다. 종래의 바코드는 문자나 숫자의 정보를 상품에 기록 및 독취할 수 있는 중요한 수단으로 사용되어 왔지만, 많은 정보를 바코드로 기록하려면 정밀도가 높아져서 장비가 고가이거나 바코드의 손실에 의해 판독시 에러가 많이 발생하였다.
본 발명은 종래 바코드의 이러한 결점을 해소하기 위하여 연출한 것으로 바코드를 통하여 나타낼 여러가지 정보들을 색의 구별이 확실히 구분이 되면서 때가 잘 타지않고, 인쇄하기에 편리한 칼라를 갖는 칼라스트라이프 바코드(color stripe bar code)로 대신 기록하고, 독취할 때는 칼라스트라이프 바코드 읽는장치 (color stripe bar code reader)를 통해 읽을 수 있게 한 코딩법에 관한 것이다.
본 발명으로 기존의 바코드가 갖는 일차원적인 코딩법으로서의 장점은 유지하면서, 기존의 바코드보다 스페이스를 줄여 한정된 영역에 상품의 정보를 1.4배 이상 표현할 수 있고, 칼라스트라이프 바코드의 간격을 균등하게 하여 판독에러를 줄인 칼라스트라이프 바코드를 제안하게 되었다.

제1도는 문자/CUP/를 칼라스트라이프 바코드로 표현한 예시도, 제2도는 숫자 12345를 칼라스트라이프 바코드로 표현한 예시도, 제3도는 문자/CUP/와 숫자 12345를 동시에 칼라스트라이프 바코드로 표현한 예시도.

Claims (2)

  1. 상품의 관리나 정리를 위해 상품이 갖는 정보들을 균등한 간격의 칼라스트라이프 바코드(color stripe bar code)로 기록하고, 기록된 것을 칼라스트라이프 바코드 읽는 장치(color stripe bar code reader)에 의해 판독처리할 수 있게 한 장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서 상품관리에 필요한 상품정보를 균등한 간격의 칼라스트라이프 바코드 형태로 상품에 나타내는 것.
