Abstract

본 발명은 내마모성, 내열성 및 내부식성을 필요로 하는 절삭 공구에 관한 것으로, 특히 서메트(Cermet) 또는 초경합금이 기본 모재인 드로우어웨이 인서트(Throvavay Insert)에 고경도물질을 피복하여 선삭 또는 밀링가공용 절삭공구로서 우수한 성능을 발휘할 수 있는 표면 피복경질합금 소재에 관한 것이다.
본 발명은, 물리증착법의 단점인 기재와 비복박막간의 밀착성 저하와 고온화학증착법의 단점인 과도한 기재의 인성저하등을 해소하고 기재의 인성을 그대로 유지할 수 있도록 하기위하여 초경합금이나 질소함유 서메트로 된 기재의 표면에 600∼850℃의 저온화학증착법에 의하여 TiCN, TiC, TiCN 및 Al2O3중 선택된 1종 또는 2종 이상의 피복을 형성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 표면 피복경질합금 소재를 제공한다.

Claims (4)

  1. 초경합금이나 질소함유 서메트로 된 기재의 표면에 600∼850℃의 저온화학증착법에 TiCN, TiC. TiCN및 Al203중 선택된 1종 또는 2종 이상의 피복을 형성하는 것을 특징으로 하는 표면 피복경질합금 소재를 제공한다.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 피복박막의 구성중 TiCN의 박막 두께는 단독 또는 복합층에서 적어도 1∼15㎛인 표면 피복경질합금 소재.
  3. 제1항 또는 제2항에 있어서, 복합층에서 전체 박막의 두께가 1∼15㎛인 표면 피복경질합금 소재.
