Abstract

The device includes procedures of checking whether the system is in the locked state after the secret key input is completed and of displaying the lock-function state to the viewer when the other-function setting is called in mode setting procedure. A procedure stores the inputted secret code and locks the system when the lock-function setting is called. A procedure compares the inputted secret code with the code already stored if the system is in lock released state. A procedure displayes error message to the viewer if the inputted secret code is not same with the already stored code. This locking method is useful for visual system with liquid crystal display.
