제2도는 단일 부가 암호를 갖는 본 발명의 한 실시예의 동작으로 프로세서의 논리 연산의 흐름도.
제3A도 및 제3B도는 각각의 종류의 부가 암호 시스템에 대한 액세스의 상이한 레벨을 제공하는데, 두 종류의 부가 암호를 갖는 본 발명의 한 실시예의 동작으로 시스템 논리 연산의 흐름도.

Claims (10)

  1. 비휘발성 메모리에 기억된 파워-온 암호를 갖는 컴퓨터 시스템으로, 시스템 매니저에 의해 파워-온 암호의 입력이 컴퓨터 전체 기능에 대해 액세스할 수 있는 컴퓨터 시스템에 있어서, 최소한 하나의 부가 암호가 비휘발성 메모리에 내장되고, 사용자에 의해 부가 암호의 입력은 시스템 매니저에 의해 이전 선택하는 방법으로 시스템이 부트를 실행할 수 있도록 허용하는 것을 특징으로 하는 컴퓨터 시스템.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 다수의 부가 암호를 이용할 수 있는 컴퓨터 시스템.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 최소한 두 종류의 부가 암호가 제공되는데, 각각의 종류의 부가 암호는 시스템에 대한 액세스의 상이한 레벨을 제공하는 컴퓨터 시스템.
  4. 제3항에 있어서, 상기 액세스의 상이한 레벨중 최소한 한 레벨은 디스켓과 같은 제거가능한 기억 매체로부터의 데이타 또는 프로그램의 로딩을 허용하도록 모든 입력 장치의 부트 기능을 불능 상태로 만드는 컴퓨터 시스템.
  5. 선행항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 암호들은 비휘발성 RAM에 기억되는 컴퓨터 시스템.
  6. 선행항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 부가 암호들은 파워-온 암호에 포함된 값을 인가하여 선별된 형태로 기억되는 컴퓨터 시스템.
  7. 디스켓 작동기와 고정 디스크를 갖는 선행항에 청구된 것 같은 컴퓨터 시스템.
  8. 제7항에 있어서, 상기 고정 디스크의 섹터에 부가 암호들이 기억되는 컴퓨터 시스템.
  9. 제7항에 있어서, 상기 부가 암호의 사용자 입력으로 디스켓 작동기가 부트 기능을 불능 상태로 만드는 컴퓨터 시스템.
  10. 선행항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 한 사용자에 의해 세번 시도내의 정확한 암호를 입력시키는데 실폐로 한 암호를 입력시키는데 다른 시도가 이루어지기 전에 그 사용자에 의해 시스템의 전력을 차단하고, 다시 전력을 부가하는 컴퓨터 시스템.
