종래의 경우 농수산물을 산지에서 소정의 유통시장으로 유통시키기 위해 포장하게 되는데 이때 포장하는데 사용되는 상자로써, 널리 사용되고 있는 것이 종이재로된 상자를 사용하거나 혹은 목재로된 상자를 제작 사용하여 왔으나 종이재의 상자를 사용하는 경우에는 상자내에 장입한 상품을 많은양의 포장 상태로 적재시켰을 때 상자 자체의 적재하중에 대한 대응강도가 낮아 포장된 상품에 손상이 따르는 결점이 있기 때문에 대부분의 포장상자로써 목재상자를 일반적으로 널리 사용하게 되었으나 이는 목재 상자를 제작시 못을 통해 영구적으로 제작하므로써 한번 사용후에는 사용자의 주의력이 없이는 재사용이 불가능하게 되고 설령 재사용을 위해 주위깊게 분해한다하고 했을때도 재사용시에는 포장상태가 좋지 않은 결함과 빈상자를 운반하는데도 많은 운반 공유면적, 혹은 보관 공유 면적을 차지하게되는등의 여러형태의 결점이 있었다.In the conventional case, agricultural and marine products are packaged to distribute to a predetermined distribution market from a mountain area.
