Claims (10)

  1. (1)(a)PTC특성을 나타내고, (b)중합체에 분산되는 입자상 전도성 충전제와 유기중합체로 이루어지며, (c)용융온도(Tm)를 갖는 전도성 중합체 성분으로 구성되는 층상 저항요소와 : (2)전원에 연결될 수 있고(a) 1.0X10-6내지 1.0X10-2Ω-cm의 저항율을 가지며, (b)상기 온도 Tm이하에서 ZTC특성을 나타내는 2개의 전극 ; 을 포함하며 구성되고, 상기 전극들은, (i)길이 대 폭의 비가 적어도 1,0000 : 1이 되도록 0.1 내지 1,000,000인치의 길이와, 0.005 내지 10인치의 폭을 각각 가지며, (ii)0.0001내지 0.01인치의 두께를 각각 갖고, (iii)0.1내지 10,000Ω의 저항(Re)을 각각 가지며, (iv)편평한 층상 표면의 저항요소에 각각 부착되고, (v)저항요소의 표면영역의 10 내지 90%를 함께 덮고 있으며, 상기 저항요소는 Re보다 적은 저항 Rcp를 갖고 전원에 연결시 0.1내지 10,000Ω의 저항을 가지며 상기 전기적 장치는 저항 Rh를 갖고, 상기 저항 Re,Rcp 및 Rh는 전체장치가 23˚C의 균일한 온도로 있는 상태에서 전극이 전원에 접속시 측정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 전기적 장치.
  2. 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 2전극들은 저항요소의 동일평면상에 있는것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  3. 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 전극들은 저항요소의 대향면들 상에 있는것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  4. 상기 항중 어느항에 있어서, 저항요소는 용융압출된 전도성 중합체로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  5. 제 1 항 내지 제 3 항중 어느 항에 있어서, 전도성 중합체는 중합체 후막잉크인 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  6. 상기 항중 어느 항에 있어서, 상기 저항 Re는 저항 Rh의 적어도 50%인것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  7. 상기 항중 어느 항에 있어서, 상기 저항 Re 대 Rcp의 비는 적어도 10 : 1인것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  8. 상기 항중 어느 항에 있어서, 상기 전극들은 꾸불꾸불한 패턴을 형성하기 위해 연속 구리층을 에칭함으로써 형성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  9. 상기 항중 어느 항에 있어서, 상기 전기적 장치는 차량의 미러용 히터이고, 상기 장치는 미러의 후면에 부착되며, 상기 전극들은 (a)1X10-6내지 1X10-5의 저항율을 가진 재료로 구성되고 (b)적어도 100인치의 길이를 가지며 (c)길이 대 폭의 비가 적어도 1,500 : 1이고, (d)0.5 내지 200Ω의 저항을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
  10. 상기 항중 어느 항에 있어서, 적어도 한 전극의 단위 길이당 저항이 적어도 5%만큼 변화하는 것을 특징으로 하는 장치.
