종래의 이와 같은 도로 표지구에 있어서는, 도로 표지구 본체 외면에 삽치홈을 요설하고 이 삽치홈 외면에 접착제로서 반사렌즈를 접착시켜서 구성된것이 대부분이었으며, 이는 도로 표지구 외면에 단순히 반사렌즈를 접착시킨 구조로 되어있기 때문에 사용도중 쉽사리 반사렌즈가 도로 표지구로부터 분리 되어 이탈되는 사례가 발생되어 사용상의 결함이 있었고, 이들 결함을 해소하기 위하여 반사렌즈를 하부 삽입구를 통해 요입구 내측의 감합구에 삽치시켜 주어 이탈을 방지하였으나, 주행하는 차량과의 접촉 특히 바퀴에 감긴 금속 체인등과의 접촉에 의하여 반사렌즈가 쉽게 파손되는 사례가 발생되고, 이에 따라 반사렌즈가 도로 표지구로 부터 이탈하게되어 이를 보수할 경우, 노면에 부착된 상태에서 보수가 불가능하므로 도로 표지구를 떼어내어 반사렌즈를 교체해야 하는 번거로움이 있어 사용상의 불편과 보수 비용이 상당히 요구되는 비경제적인 결함이 있었으며, 시공후 사용도중 흙, 먼지등의 이물이 도로 표지구의 반사렌즈 전면부에 퇴적하는 사례가 발생하여 반사렌즈의 기능을 마비시키는 등의 여러가지 사용상의 결함이 있었다.In the conventional road markers, the grooves were formed on the outer surface of the road cover body and the reflective lens was adhered to the outer surface of the road groove by the adhesive.
