본 발명은 접착성이 향상된 인공잔디 제조발명에 관한 것이다. 종래의 인공잔디는 주류를 이루는 스트레이트 백 코팅(Straight Back Coating)물(物)의 경우 그 이면(裏面)이 제1도에서 보는 바와 같이 골이 형성되어 있으므로 시공(施工)할 때 접착제가 많이 소요되거나 혹은 접착면적이 제1도의 凸 부분에 한정되므로 접촉면적이 적어 시공할 바닥이 편편하여 매끄러운 곳에는 잘 접착되지 않는 경우가 있다. 본 발명의 목적은 부직포 같은 쿠숀(Cushio) 재질를 기포(基布) 밑에 넣어 줌으로써 종래의 결점을 개선하여 접착력을 향상시키는 동시에 쿠숀성을 겸비토록 하여 안락한 촉감을 부여하는 데 있다.
이를 상술하면 다음과 같다.

)(1), 기포(2), 백코팅(Back Coating)(3) 부분으로 되어 있다. 기포에 터프팅(Tufting)된 파일사(1)는 자체의 굵기 때문에 기포 이면(裏面)에 백 루프(Back Loop)(4)를 형성하게 되여 이로 인해 라렉스(Latex) 등에 의한 백코팅 후에도 凸부(3')가 남아서 전술한 바와 같은 결점을 유발시키고 있다. 제2도는 본 발명에 의한 인공잔디의 단면으로서 기포(2)와 백코팅부(3)의 중간에 쿠숀층(5)이 들어 있는 것이 특징이다. 이 층을 형성시키는 과정은 터프팅하기 전에 이루어지는데 제1도와 같은 종래의 인공잔디의 경우 폴리에스터나 폴리프로필렌 등으로 된 기포에 그대로 파일사를 터프팅한 후 라렉스 등으로 백 코팅하여 제조되는 반면, 본 발명품은 상기한 폴리에스터나 폴리프로필렌의 1차 기포에 평방메타당 20내지 95그람, 두께 0.2내지 5mm의 부직포나 퀼팅(Quilting) 같은 쿠숀재(材)를 2차 기포로 하여 두 기포를 포개어 니들펀치(Needle Punch)함으로써 제3도와 같은 새로운 기포를 형성시킨다. 이 때 2차 기포(5)은 니들펀치에 의하여 밀(密)해져서 약간의 탄력을 갖게 되며 1차 기포(2)의 조직사이로 끼어 들어가게 되므로 두 기포가 잘 달라붙어 있게 된다. 이렇게 형성된 기포에 공지의 방법으로 터프팅하면 제4도와 같이 백루프는 터프팅될 때 가해지는 장력(張力)으로 루프내의 2차 기포(5)를 압축시켜 자리잡게 되고 백루프와 백루프 사이는 2차 기포의 나머지 부분(5')이 차 있게 되어 평평한 표면을 이루게 된다. 이 위에 라텍스, 폴리비닐 클로라이드 등의 약제에 의한 공지의 방법으로 코팅하여 기포와 파일사를 고정시켜 주어 제2도와 같은 이면이 평평한 본 발명의 인공잔디를 얻을 수 있다.
이렇게 만들어진 인공잔디는 그 평평한 뒷면으로 인해 시공할 때 접착제가 종래의 것보다 적게 소모되거나 동일양의 접착제로서 견고하게 접착되는 장점을 지니며 쿠숀재질로 인하여 탄력성을 가짐으로 포근한 촉감을 부여하게 된다.
[실시예]
플리프로필렌 재질의 1차 기포를 경사밀도 인치당 24, 위사밀도 18, 중량 130g,/㎡되도록 제직하고, 2차 기포로서 폴리프로필렌 재질의 중량 60g/㎡, 두께 1.5mm의 부직포와 함께 니들펀치한 후, 이 위에 나일론 멀티(multi) 5,000데니아의 파일사를 사용하여 터프팅하고, 라텍스로 도포량이 액상(液狀) 500g/㎡되도록 백코팅하여 인공잔디를 생산하였다. 이 인공잔디를 빌딩 현관의 편편한 바닥에 시공함에 있어서 클로로프렌(chloroprene)계의 접착제로 시공한 결과 종래의 제1도와 같은 인공잔디와의 접착성능 대비표는 다음과같다.

이 결과표는 본 발명의 인공잔디의 양호한 접착성을 잘 보여주고 있으며 동일 접착제의 양으로 약 2배의 접착효과를 얻을 수 있다.

  1. 인공잔디를 제조함에 있어서 통상의 1차 기포의 이면에 부직포나 퀼팅과 같은 쿠숀재로 된 2차 기포를 포개어 니들펀칭시킨 것을 기포로 사용함을 특징으로 하는 접착성이 향상된 인공잔디의 제조방법.
